Texas Tech’s Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health is a proud sponsor of this year’s Hablando de la Salud de la Mujer’s Hispanic Women’s Health conference. This fabulous women’s health conference is made possible through the support of more than 100 volunteers who assist in the compilation of gift bag stuffing, as well as, conference set-up and production.
About Speaking of Women’s Health
Speaking of Women's Health's mission is to "educate women to make informed decisions about health, well-being and personal safety for themselves and their families." The 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization educates and empowers women nationwide through more than 50 conferences and events across the country; its health programs, Universal Sisters and Hablando de la Salud de la Mujer; community events and education centers with free health brochures in Wal-Mart stores nationwide; a free quarterly newsletter, a Web site and a television show, "Lifetime's Speaking of Women's Health."
El Paso’s First Annual Hablando de la Salud de la Mujer conference will provide a day full of fabulous pampering and “edu-tainment” for attendees. The day includes national speakers, health screenings, a continental breakfast, fabulous luncheon, and a luxurious gift bag for every attendee.
Speaking of Women’s Health and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso are looking for volunteers to help prepare for the El Paso’s First Annual Hablando de la Salud de la Mujer conference on the following dates:
10/04/08 Texas Tech Gift bag stuffing
10/17/08 Convention Center Program stuffing
10/17/08 Convention Center Conference design and set-up
10/18/08 Convention Center Conference support
Volunteers will work on a rotating shift basis.
